Duplex Scanning
DUPLEX SCANNING
If you have installed the optional RSPF, you can continuously scan both sides of an original. This
function cannot be used in direct transmission mode. Change to memory transmission mode before
performing duplex scanning. (See page 32)
Duplex scanning is only possible when the RSPF is used. Duplex scanning is not possible when the
original is placed on the platen glass.
Duplex scanning of originals longer than A3 is not possible.
The images of both sides of the original are rotated 180° if needed at the time of transmission, and
thus there is no need to change the orientation at the receiving machine.
The duplex scanning selection is only effective for one transmission.
Setting Duplex Scanning

In Fax mode, press the DUPLEX SCAN key.

Press the or key to select "2-SIDED" and then press the OK key.

Select the original type and then press the OK key.
Select the original type with the or key to select the binding orientation and the
original orientation.
When inserting the original in the document feeder tray, orient it as indicated by the arrow
( ) in the message display.
When you have completed the setting, make sure the duplex scan icon appears in the
display and then press the START key.
Notes
To cancel duplex scanning, select "1-SIDED" in step 2 and then press the OK key.
When duplex scanning is turned on, page division cannot be turned on.
