CHAPTER 4 REPLACEMENT OF PARTS

M. Guide eject assy/color register assy/board-PRY

(1) Detach the left side cover, right side cover, rear cover, and top cover assembly. (See

Sections "A", "B", "D", and "H".)

(2) Remove the print engine controller PCB, control PCB, and low-voltage power supply. (See

Sections "F", "G", and "L" (3).)

(3) Unplug the connector of the belt thermistor, remove two spring torsions 1, and disassemble

cover driver 2 by freeing the four claws with the flat-tipped screwdriver (Tool No. 3).

(4) Remove screws (silver) 3, and unplug the six connectors to disassemble Board-PRY4.

(5) Remove two screws (silver) 5, and disassemble color register Assy 6. (Tool No. 1)

(6) Remove three screws (silver) 7, and free cable 8 of the fuser I/F connector from the clamp.

Then, release the claw of guide cable 9 by sliding it, and remove guide eject Assy 0. (Tool

No. 1)
