SEAT
1. Mount seat on seat plate:
a) Milsco suspension seat - Align bolts on the bottom of the seat with holes in the seat plate. Fasten
securely with four whiz nuts.
b) Grammer suspension seat - Align holes in the bottom of the seat suspension with holes in the seat
plate. Fasten securely with four bolts and lockwashers.
2. Connect seat cable to tractor harness. Seat switch is part of the tractor's safety system
and should never be disabled. Verify that seat switch operates properly.
a) Start engine.
b) Depress neutral latch L. The engine must stop when operator leaves the seat.
c) Take foot off Forward/Reverse footpedal F. Depress PTO switch P to power decks. The engine must
stop when operator leaves the seat.
FINAL PREPARATIONS
Make sure all tractor and cutterdeck tire pressures are set to 14
psi (1 kg/cm
2
). Tires may be overinflated for shipping.
Before starting the machine:
Read and understand all safety instructions at the beginning
of this manual.
Check battery electrolyte level and charge. Use protective
equipment such as, but not limited to, goggles, face shield,
rubber gloves, and apron.
Fill the fuel tank with #1 or #2 Diesel fuel.
Check and top up the engine sump with engine oil if
needed.
Check and top up the radiator with a 50% antifreeze
solution if needed.
Check and top up the hydraulic system with oil if needed.
Check all points for lubrication (refer to the lubrication
section in this manual).
WARNING
TO CHECK OR ADD FUEL:
Do it outdoors
Do not smoke
Stop engine; allow to cool
Fill to one inch below
bottom of filler neck
Do not overfill
Clean up spilled fuel
