AIR CLEANER

To clean regularly - Squeeze sides of particle

collector Q to release debris.

To change filter

Replace the air cleaner element according to the

Service Chart (more often under dirty conditions).

Uneven running, lack of power or black exhaust

fumes may indicate a dirty air cleaner.

– Remove end cap E by unsnapping two fasteners.

– Pull filter element straight out firmly.

– Install new filter element, pressing firmly to seat

against rear shoulder.

– Replace and re-snap end cap, with particle

collector pointing downward.

BATTERY

– Add distilled water whenever fluid level is below

battery plates.

– Make connections and disconnections to battery

terminals in the order shown at right.

When working with battery fluids:

– Always use protective equipment, such as, but not

limited to, goggles, face shield, rubber gloves and

apron.

– If skin is exposed to battery acid, rinse immedi-

ately with very large amounts of water. Seek

medical attention.

– Sparks or flame can

start explosion.

– Disconnect negative (–)

battery terminal first.

– Reconnect negative (–)

battery terminal last.
