HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Changing hydraulic fluid
1. Drain fluid by removing plug F.
2. Fill through either brass plug A.
3. Replace hydraulic fluid filter H at intervals recom-
mended in the Service Chart.
General notes
– When any hydraulic port is opened, plug quickly
to reduce risk of contamination.
– Lower lift arms to relieve hydraulic system
pressure before servicing.
– Do not use teflon tape on hydraulic pipe fittings.
Use a liquid sealant that will dissolve into the
system.
– Make sure all hydraulic connections are tight
before applying pressure to system.
– Leaks can penetrate
skin.
– Seek immediate
medical attention for oil
penetration injury.

Hydraulic Test Ports
Two ports are visible at right:
– Deck drive valve pressure (3000 psi at D).
– 4-wheel drive valve pressure (2500 psi at W).
A third port for lift and power steering is located on the
left side of pressure manifold below the 4-wheel drive
valve (1200 psi).
