HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Changing hydraulic fluid
1. Drain fluid by removing plug F.
2. Fill through either brass plug A.
3. Replace hydraulic fluid filter H at intervals recom-
mended in the Service Chart.
General notes
When any hydraulic port is opened, plug quickly
to reduce risk of contamination.
Lower lift arms to relieve hydraulic system
pressure before servicing.
Do not use teflon tape on hydraulic pipe fittings.
Use a liquid sealant that will dissolve into the
system.
Make sure all hydraulic connections are tight
before applying pressure to system.
Leaks can penetrate
skin.
Seek immediate
medical attention for oil
penetration injury.

Hydraulic Test Ports
Two ports are visible at right:
Deck drive valve pressure (3000 psi at D).
4-wheel drive valve pressure (2500 psi at W).
A third port for lift and power steering is located on the
left side of pressure manifold below the 4-wheel drive
valve (1200 psi).
