ENGINE OIL

Changing oil

– Warm up engine first and then shut off.

– Remove drain plug P from the crankcase and allow oil to drain.

– Clean plug and replace. Refill engine with oil at E (see Fluid Requirements chart for amount and type).

– See engine manual for more information.

Oil filter

– Unscrew and replace cartridge intact.

– Apply thin coat of oil to cartridge gasket before installing.

– Check for oil leaks around the cartridge gasket after engine is started.

COOLING SYSTEM

Draining and refilling radiator

1. Drain radiator by removing hose at bottom. Replace and resecure hose when flow stops.

2. Remove radiator pressure cap. Fill radiator with premixed 50% antifreeze solution to the bottom of the fill

neck.

3. Start engine and run at 1/4 throttle until engine thermostat opens (coolant will begin to drop below the

neck).

4. With engine running, add coolant slowly to maintain level at the bottom of the fill neck.

5. When coolant level stabilizes, stop adding. Replace and resecure radiator pressure cap.
