Data Services General Information (Sprint
Spark LTE and 3G Networks)
Thefollowingtopicswillhelpyoulearnthebasicsofusingyourdataservices,includingmanaging
yourusername,launchingadataconnection,andnavigatingtheWebwithyourphone.
Important: Certaindataservicesrequestsmayrequireadditionaltimetoprocess.Whileyour
phoneisloadingtherequestedservice,thetouchscreenorQWERTYkeyboardmayappear
unresponsivewheninfacttheyarefunctioningproperly.Allowthephonesometimetoprocessyour
datausagerequest.
Sprint Spark LTE
TheSprintSparkenhancedLTEnetworkprovidesyourphonewithwirelessInternetaccessover
greaterdistancesthanWi-Fianddeliversdatatransferratesofupto60Mbps.Toconnectyour
phonetoSprintSpark,youneedtobeinanareacoveredbytheSprintSparkenhancedLTE
network.

Turn Sprint Spark On and Connect to the Sprint Spark Network

Fromhome,touch >Settings >More…>Mobile networks>Preferred network
type.
2. SelectLTE/CDMA.ThephonewillscanforthebestavailableSprintnetworkandwill
automaticallyconnecttoit.
WhenyourphoneisconnectedviaSprintSpark,theSprintSparkicon( )appearsinthestatus
bar.
Note: TheSprintSparknetworkisself-discoverable,whichmeansnoadditionalstepsarerequired
foryourphonetoconnecttoit.
Check Sprint Spark Network Status

Fromhome,touch >Settings >About phone.
2. Touch4G Settings.ThenetworkprovidernameandIPaddressaredisplayed.
