The previous examples represent plenty of Source footage. The actual number of
Camera Positions and Takes will depend on the number of performers, and the band’s
layout on stage. If the video will be performance and concept, you won’t need as much
performance footage.
Plan Your Shots - Listen to the song, refer to the Beat Sheet and Overhead Map/List, and
determine each shot. Write down a Camera Position Number, Shot Description, and
Scene Description on the Beat Sheet, at the point where you want each shot, and edit, to
begin. Also include any Camera Moves, and Camera Level (if other than Eye Level).
Use Abbreviations: Wide (W), Medium (M), Close-Up (CU), Extreme Close-Up (ECU),
Camera Level (CL), Camera Position (CP). Here's an example:
