LOADING PAPER INTO THE PAPER TRAY

Move the guides ( , ) to touch the edges of the paper.
When loading envelopes
Set the paper knob to the "Thick Paper ( )" setting.
Load the envelope face down with the flap to the right, and then adjust the paper
guides to the width of the envelope.
When loading index cards, postcards or birthday cards
Set the paper knob to the "Thick Paper ( )" setting.
Set guide up, and then fit guide and against the loaded cards.

Close the front lid of paper tray by firmly pushing on its right
edge.
Notes for loading envelopes
z Load envelopes in portrait direction into the paper tray.
z
Do not use non-standard envelopes, envelops with clasps, or window envelopes.
z Be sure to select each of Com10, DL, C6, and Invitation A2 on the paper size
setting of the printer driver. (For detailed information on printer driver, refer to
the online manual.)
Most paper and envelopes will be fed correctly from the paper tray. However, if
paper or envelopes are particularly stiff or heavy, they should be fed one at a time
through the bypass tray. This will avoid wrinkling or misfeeding.
With some sizes of paper, guide may stick out of the paper tray. In this case,
print with the front lid of the paper tray open.
Be sure to load in
portrait direction.
