3 Before use
3.4 Attaching Pocket Pad carriers
1. Fit the extension hose as shown, Zchapter 3.3, „Attaching the
extension hose“.
2. Fit the desired Pocket Pad to the respective Pocket Pad carrier as
shown (Fig. 5/A).
3. Tighten the string (Fig. 5/B) to secure the Pocket Pad.
4. Turn the prepared Pocket Pad carrier in the direction of the arrow while
pushing it onto the extension hose (Fig. 5/C). You will feel how the
threads engage.
5. Check that the Pocket Pad carrier is fitted securely.
3.5 Attaching a round brush
1. Fit the extension hose as shown, Zchapter 3.3, „Attaching the
extension hose“.
2. Attach the accessory adapter as shown (Fig. 6/A).
3. Turn the accessory adapter in the direction of the arrow while pushing
it onto the extension hose (Fig. 6/B). You will feel how the threads
engage.
4. Check that the accessory adapter is fitted securely.
5. Firmly push the round brush onto the accessory adapter (Fig. 6/D).
When pushing on the brush, take care that the two tabs (Fig. 6/C)
engage the corresponding grooves of the accessory adapter. (To
remove the round brush, you will have to pull quite hard to get it off of
the accessory adapter.)
3.6 Attaching the squeegee (optional)
1. Fit the extension hose as shown, Zchapter 3.3, „Attaching the
extension hose“.
2. Attach the accessory adapter as shown (Fig. 7/A).
3. Turn the accessory adapter in the direction of the arrow while pushing
it onto the extension hose (Fig. 7/B). You will feel how the threads
engage.
4. Check that the accessory adapter is fitted securely.
5. Firmly push the squeegee onto the accessory adapter (Fig. 7/D). When
pushing on the squeegee, take care that the two tabs (Fig. 7/C) engage
the corresponding grooves of the accessory adapter. (To remove the
squeegee, you will have to pull quite hard to get it off of the accessory
adapter.)
ATTENTION:
Always put a Pocket Pad onto the respective Pocket Pad carrier (Fig. 5/
A). The Pocket Pad carriers are not designed for use without the
respective original Shark
®
Pocket Pad.

NOTE:
XL Pocket Pads only fit the XL Pocket Pad carrier. The cylindrical
Pocket Pads only fit the cylindrical Pocket Pad carrier. Both Pocket Pad
carriers can only be attached directly to the extension hose.
 The wedge-shaped XL Pocket Pads are ideally suited for steam-
cleaning all smooth surfaces and recesses.
 The cylindrical Pocket Pads, on the other hand, are better suited for
cleaning and dusting items, as it is easy to trace the objects' contours with
them.
NOTE:
This mechanism prevents the carrier from being accidentally loosened
due to turning movements during operation. To remove the carrier, you
must likewise push it down while turning. The same principle applies to
the accessory adapter (see below).

NOTE:
The round brush may only be fitted to the extension hose using the
accessory adapter. The round brush is ideal for brushing dirt softened by
the hot steam from scratch-proof surfaces.

NOTE:
The squeegee may only be fitted to the extension hose using the
accessory adapter. The squeegee is ideal for steaming glossy surfaces
and then removing the moisture without any trace.
