3.1 Unpacking
1. Unpack the appliance and its accessories (Fig. 1).
2. Check that the contents are intact.
3.2 Filling the water tank
1. Make sure that the appliance is turned off and that the power cord is not
connected to the mains.
2. Twist the filler cap (Fig. 2/A) counter-clockwise completely off the water
tank.
3. Fill the included filling container with cold, clear tap water.
4. Empty the refilling container into the water tank (Fig. 2/B).
5. Check the water level in the viewing-window. If the water tank was
empty to start with, you will need another half-full container to fill it
completely.
6. Refit the filler-cap and fasten it by turning clockwise (Fig. 3). Check that
it is securely fitted.
3.3 Attaching the extension hose
1. Put the extension hose onto the adapter so that the arrow on the hose
corresponds to the "unfastened" symbol of the adapter (Fig. 4/A).
2. Fasten the extension hose by turning in the direction of the arrow
(Fig. 4/B).
- The arrow on the extension hose moves towards the "fastened"
symbol.
- To unfasten the attachment, turn it in the opposite direction.
3. Now you may attach
- one of the Pocket Pad carriers (Zchapter 3.4, „Attaching Pocket Pad
carriers“) or
- the accessory adapter with the round brush (Zchapter 3.5, „Attaching
a round brush“) or
- The accessory adapter with squeegee (Zchapter 3.6, „Attaching the
squeegee (optional)“).
ATTENTION:
Always transport or ship the appliance in its original packaging to avoid
damage. Keep the packaging for such an event. However, dispose of no
longer needed packaging material properly.
NOTE:
Immediately contact your dealer if you have found damage resulting
from transport.
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! Never fill an appliance with water when it is
connected to the mains.

WARNING:
Danger of injury! Use no additives such as cleansers, alcohol, perfumes
or chemicals in your water. These make the use of the appliance unsafe.
NOTE:
Do not overfill the tank. Be aware of any residual water in the tank. If
the water tank is empty, you need approx 1.5 container fillings to fill the
tank.
ATTENTION:
Operate the device only with the water tank filled. Although the
appliance is fitted with an overheating protection, running it without
water would shorten its service life.
WARNING:
Risk of burns! The tip of the extension hose gets very hot during
operation. Only run the appliance after further accessories have been
fitted to the extension hose.

NOTE:
The extension hose may only be fitted directly to the adapter (Fig. 4/A).
It is necessary to attach the extension hose if you want to use the Pocket
Pad carrier or the accessory adapter.
