7.2 LOAD PIN REPLACEMENT PIN

In the event the load pin needs to be removed for calibration or
repair, a pin can be inserted in its place to support the tension
wheel.
At this time a hydraulic load cell can be used to provide tension.
The depth portion of the measuring head will still function
properly and accurately.
A 3/4” diameter shoulder bolt can be used as a substitute. The
bolt needs to have at least a 2-1/2” shoulder. It should be of at
least grade 8 to support the potential load.
