• Change to Modbus RTU Protocol ( Point 1 )
Shark meters are capable of changing from DNP Protocol to Modbus RTU Protocol. This
enables the user to update the Device Profile of the meter. This does not change the Protocol
setting. A meter reset brings you back to DNP.
Use of the DIRECT OPERATE - NO ACKNOWLEDGE ( Function 6 ) function will operate
only with the settings of Pulsed ON ( Code = 1 of Control Code Field ) once ( Count = 0x01 )
for ON 1 millisecond and OFF 0 milliseconds.

A READ request for Variation 0 will be responded to with Variation 5.
