STOWAGE
SHADEFIN
1) While applying a slight forward pressure to the front arms, pull
down on the locking buttons and allow the front arms to unlock
and swing freely (Figure B).
2) Fold the front two arms together while lifting the fabric up
between them.
3) Slide the back arms forward in the slide track (Figure G).
4) Carefully tuck the fabric into the side and front of the body.
5) Push the front arms into the body until they latch. (The arms will
help hold the fabric in place.)
6) Slide the storage bag over the unit.
7) Depress the mounting post locking pin and retract the ShadeFin
from its mount.
8) Extend the bag to cover the mounting post and slide the zipper
closed.
9) Stow ShadeFin in your desired location onboard or o the boat.

NOTE: Manufacturer recommends the ShadeFin and fabric are
rinsed with freshwater and dried prior to packing in carry bag.
MOUNTS
• For either the Fixed or Adjustable Rod Holder Mount, these can remain in any T-top rod holder
as long as the bottom Locking Knob is secure. To remove, easily unscrew the Locking Knob,
remove the mount from the rod holder, re-install on the Locking Knob to the mount so it does
not get lost, and stow the mount accordingly.
• For either the Fixed or Adjustable Clamp-On Mount, we recommend these remain in place
once attached to the T-top tower/tube pipe. Please be cautious of the arm of the Clamp-On
Mount when the ShadeFin is not in use. If these mount arms pose any risk to boaters when the
ShadeFin is not in use, please remove and stow following the steps below:
• Unscrew the four fasteners and remove.
• Remove the upper support tube.
• Remove the anti-rotation pin.
• Remove the lower cap.
• Bundle all components together and stow.
• For the GS-170 and GS-170-2 mounts, these are permanently installed to boat tops and we do
not recommend removal when the ShadeFin is not in use.
