Installation
Unpacking
During unpacking, make certain that all the necessary parts have been received and that the fixture has not been
damaged during transport. Should there be any problems, contact the local authorized SGM distributor immediately.
Do not throw packaging material away, but keep it for use if the fixture has to be shipped for normal or special
maintenance. The packaging has been designed precisely to protect your fixtures during transport.
Inspect the packaging contents and make certain there are:
1 Palco fixture Mod. 3 or 5
1 6mm. Allen key
1 3mm. Allen key
2 black PG9 threaded plugs
2 brass NIC lock nuts
2 OR ORM 0130-15 washers
1 Display cover
1 User’s manual
Mounting the fixture
Before installing the fixture, make certain the AC mains cable is disconnected.
Wiring
Being a fixture protected to IP65, the unit is already fitted with wiring and dedicated cable gland. Palco only requires its
AC plug to be wired, following the indications below:

ATTENTION:
Wiring and connection work must be carried out by experienced qualified staff.
Class one equipment must be earthed (grounded)
Do not power Palco units with dimmers, as this could damage their on-board power
supply
Before connecting the unit, make certain that the mains power supply is the same as
indicated on the fixture’s ID plate
The unit must be protected by a thermal/magnetic circuit-breaker
Palco is controlled via DMX 512 serial digital signal. Cables for connection to the signal (supplied) are fitted with standard
XLR 5-Pin connectors. It is indispensable to use cables that meet EIA RS-485 specifications to connect the fixtures to the
control console.
