Functional Description
Electrical
Characteristics
1 FOLDBACK
Output signal, open collector, active-low. Asserted
when in foldback mode.
Emitter is on pin 9. (See OUTP:PROT:FOLD command
in the Output SCPI Command Subsystem, Section 6.7
of this manual).
Max 60 VDC
Max 4 mA DC
2 SHUTDOWN
Open anode (1k resistor on-board) input signal. Allows
the user to immediately shutdown the unit by presenting
a 10-20 mA input signal. Cathode on pin 9.
Max 12 VDC
Max 6 VDC reverse
voltage
3 FAULT
Output signal, open collector, active-low.
Asserted when a fault is recorded in the fault register.
Emitter is on pin 9.
Max 60 VDC
Max 4 mA DC
4 TRIGGER OUT
Synchronize output signal, open collector, active-low.
Pulsed for 10 ms when a change in the output occurs.
Emitter is on pin 9.
Max 60 VDC
Max 7 mA DC
5 COMMON
For all relay contacts. Optionally connected to pin 9 by
internal jumper
6 POLARITY
Output signal, relay contacts. Asserted (contacts close
to COMMON) when a negative voltage is programmed.
(e.g., SOURce:VOLTage -5.0)
Max 2 ADC
Max 30 VDC
Max 60 W
7 ISOLATION
Output signal, relay contacts. Asserted (contacts close
to COMMON) when the output relay is programmed
OFF.
(e.g., OUTPut:ISOlation OFF)
Max 2 ADC
Max 30 VDC
Max 60 W
8 SENSE
Output signal, relay contacts. Asserted (contacts close
to COMMON) when the sense relay is programmed
OFF.
(e.g., OUTput:SENse OFF)
Max 2 ADC
Max 30 VDC
Max 60 W
9 ISO COMMON Opto-isolator common line.
10 TRIGGER IN
Hardware - Open Anode (1k resistor on-board) of opto-
isolator. Cathode on pin 9. This signal is provided for
external hardware triggering of sequence functions and
of voltage and current ramp functions.
Max 12 VDC
Max 6 VDC reverse
voltage
