Chapter 2: Upgrading Baseboard Components
Installing the Processor Tabs
Dependingon yourconfiguration, thetabs forthe processor’s S.E.C. cartridgemight not
beattachedtothecartridge.Inthiscase,youmustattachtwotabstoeachS.E.C.cartridge
as directed in the following steps:
1. Orient the tab as shown in Figure 2-7.
2. Two small round pegs at the center of the tab correspond with two round holes at
each corner ofthe S.E.C. cartridge, seeFigure 2-7.Spreadthe tabopen slightly toget
the pegs into the holes, being careful not to use too much force and break the tab.
If done properly, the tab will rotate freely with its axis near the center of the tab, at
the base of the triangular section.
3. Repeat to install the second tab to the S.E.C. cartridge.
