GS3050-A
GSM Universal Wireless Alarm Communicator
An affordable wireless alarm communication alternative to phone
lines, the GS3050-A GSM universal wireless alarm communicator
works by connecting to the GSM network to provide protection
against accidental line cuts caused by storms, construction or
deliberate tampering. In the event of an alarm, the communicator
assesses its connection to the PSTN phone line, and if that has
failed, it then connects to the GSM network to send an alarm
signal to the central monitoring station.
More than just a GSM interface, the communicator can also be
used to operate as a four-channel SMS dialer. This allows each of
the four inputs (channels) to transmit two text messages (SMS)
when activated.
Another application of this feature-rich product is its home
automation capabilities. End-users are able to control externally
connected devices (i.e. lights, garage doors and powered gates)
via SMS messaging through their cellular phones. Compatible
with any control panel, the communicator also supports voice
alarm communication using the optional NC2/VOX module.
