AMX-400
Loop Repeater/Isolator Module
• Can be used to repeat and re-power
the AML loop to allow for longer
wire runs:
- Requires 12 VDC power source
• Will isolate the wire run in the
event of a problem
AML-770
Loop Isolator Module
• Can be used to isolate burglary
detectors from fire detectors on
the same wire run
BENEFITS
Addressable Compatibility
Addressable Multiplexed Loop (AML) technology can be the key
to expanding your business. In large commercial or residential
applications with numerous protection points, it can greatly reduce
your installation time, saving you money. For example, to connect
door/window contacts, glassbreak detectors or motion detectors
where needed, all you have to do is run a single two-conductor wire
around the perimeter of the installation. No more long wire runs back
to the main control panel or expander module for each zone. Also,
each detector is assigned a specific zone number for individual point
identification, making service a snap. If future expansion is required,
it’s as simple as tapping off the existing AML loop.
The AML uses a simple two-wire cable for both power and data, and
any addressable detector can be connected anywhere. Burglary and
fire detection devices can be combined on the same wire run with
the use of the AML-770 isolator module.
All detectors are engineered to require extremely low current (some
as low as 0.8 mA each). In the case of extremely long wire runs, or if
a large number of detectors are required, the AMX-400 repeater/iso-
lator is perfect for expanding the system to whatever size is required.
MAXSYS
®
Addressable Compatibility
The MAXSYS control panel has full AML support built right into the
control panel, and all 128 zones can be programmed as addressable.
Both PGM outputs have been engineered to support AML detectors,
each providing up to 170 mA of current.
PowerSeries
TM
Addressable Compatibility
Addressable zone support can be added to either the Power832
®
or
Power864
TM
with the addition of the PC5100 module. The module
connects to the panel KEYBUS. It supports up to 32 addressable
zones and provides up to 170 mA for addressable detectors.
