Before using for the fi rst time
To clean the kettle, boil (with the tea fi lter in
place) and discard the fi rst fi lling of water.
Operation
Lid selection
To prepare tea, select the tea fi lter lid, fi tting
the main lid only after the tea has been
prepared. To heat water, use the main lid,
so that the full 1.5 l container capacity can
be utilised.
Heating water
∙ Remove the water container from its
base.
∙ Push down on the lid lock to release the
main lid and take it off.
∙ Fill the container with water to the desired
level, observing the Min (0.5 l) and Max
(1.5 l for heating water) markings.
∙ Replace the lid, pushing down on the lid
lock to secure it, and place the container
back on its base.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket.
A number of short beep signals are heard
and the indicator lights go on briefl y; the
kettle is now ready for use.
∙ Use the temperature selection buttons to
set the desired temperature, and then use
the On/Off switch (
) to turn the kettle
on.
∙ The heating process begins. Once the
pre-set temperature has been reached,
the appliance is automatically switched
off; two short beep signals are heard and
the indicator light on the On/Off switch
goes out.
∙ The boiling process may be interrupted by
pressing the On/Off switch again.
∙ To pour hot water, remove the container
from its base.
∙ To prevent hot steam from being emitted,
ensure that the lid remains closed while
pouring out the water.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall outlet after
use.
∙ Do not leave any residual water in the
container.
Quick start
When placing the water container onto
the base and pressing the
button, the
water is heated to 100 ° C without the
need to set a temperature.
Making tea
∙ Remove the main lid from the container.
∙ Fill the container with water to the desired
level, observing the Min (0.5 l) and Max
(1.2 l for making tea) markings.
∙ Separate the fi lter sieve from the tea fi lter
by turning it to unlock, and then taking it
off.
∙ Put in the desired quantity of tea leaves.
Replace the tea fi lter onto the fi lter sieve
and lock it. Pull the rod on the fi lter up.
∙ Replace the lid with the tea fi lter fi tted.
∙ Turn on the kettle as described in the
section Boiling water.
∙ Once the pre-set temperature has been
reached, lower the tea fi lter down into the
water and let the tea steep.
