Instructions for use
Min. level mark.
When using solidi ed fat, approx. 3.3 kg are
needed. e fat should be cut into smaller
pieces rst and melted in a separate pot,
ensuring that it just reaches a liquid state
but is not over-heated; this is to avoid the
danger of burns when pouring the fat into
the frying container a erwards. Please
observe the Max. mark.
e recess directly below the heating
element acts as a cooling area where residual
particles resulting from the frying process,
as well as other impurities, are collected. e
circulation of the oil/fat results in a lower
temperature level around the recess area. is
collection process extends the life-span of the
frying oil/fat.
Removable heating element
Before the appliance is connected to the
mains, the power cord must be pulled out to
its full length from the storage compartment.
e deep fryer is equipped with a safety
switch, ensuring that the appliance can be
operated only if the heating element has
been correctly tted in the corresponding
mounting.
Do not operate the appliance unless the
heating element and frying container have
been properly tted and the container has
been lled with oil or fat.
Temperature control
Using the temperature control
, the desired
level can be set in steps of 5 degrees over a
135° to 190° range.
Indicator lamp
During the heating-up process, the
indicator lamp ashes. As soon as the frying
temperature is reached, the lamp remains
steady.
Frying baskets
e baskets are designed to hold the food to
be fried.
Before use, the handles must be tted to the
frying baskets. Ensure that the right handle
is tted to each basket. ( e handle with the
locking mounting ts on the large basket,
that with the locking-catch to the small one.)
To attach either handle, press its two sides
together and insert the angled pieces into the
corresponding openings on the basket. Pull
the handle towards the rim of the basket and
use the two protruding support brackets to
secure it.
Using both frying baskets allows for deep-
frying di erent kinds of food at the same
time. Put the food that requires a shorter
cooking time into the smaller basket and take
it out again once the food is done, leaving the
large basket in the hot oil/fat until this food
is also cooked.
Caution: e small basket must only be used
together with the large basket.
