NOTE: Some devices are configured not to respond to Ping requests. Therefore, the fact
that a device does not respond to a Ping request does not prove unequivocally that
the device cannot be accessed remotely.

To test connections to the MVG 400 unit using Ping from the PC:
1. On the PC, open a Command Window as follows:
• Open the
Start menu and click Run. A Run window opens.

• In the
Run window, in the Open field, type cmd, and then click OK. A Command
Window opens.

2. In the Command Window, type
ping <IP>, where <IP> is the IP address of the
MVG 400. For example, type
ping 192.168.3.60
3. Press Enter. The PC attempts to ping the MVG 400 by sending four test messages to it.
The Ping command returns responses from the MVG 400 for each message that was
