Name
When to use?
Form Button Use when specifying an action that can be
triggered by a button click. A whole range
of buttons of varying design and function
can be created.
Submit and Reset buttons are
available in the Form wizard. They
perform form submission and clear
all form data, respectively.
Edit Box Use for entering single-line text, numbers,
or a mixture of both. Someone's surname
would be a good example.
Text Area Use for adding multi-line text, numbers or a
mixture of both. Generally used for entering
input, either textual or numerical, e.g. an
inquiry, recipe, or list of figures.
Combo Box For selection from a list of items in a drop-
down menu where only one item can be
selected by default, e.g. a gender combo.
Combo boxes also allow for a scrollable list
of items; with optional support for multiple
selection. For example, to select
Afghanistan, Algeria, and Andorra, use
