6. Either:
• If an on-the-page user login is not required, click Exit to logout of
Serif Web Resources.
OR
• If an on-the-page user login is required, click the Insert button. See
User sign in on p. 80.
To create a user group:
1. Click the
Smart Object Tool button on the Web Objects toolbar.
2. With your Access Control Smart object selected, in the Object Preview
pane, click the object's Manage... button to reveal the Manage Access
Control dialog.
3. (Optional) If user sign in is required, enable CAPTCHA then click the
Update field. CAPTCHA is an anti-spamming technique where arbitrary
server-generated text is displayed; the Web visitor enters the text for
subsequent validation.
4. Enter a Group Name in the Create New Group section; this should reflect
the type of users that will belong to the group, e.g. "Downloads".
5. Some group-related settings can be configured, i.e.
• Group Smart object (not shown): Use only if you're setting up a
forum's moderator group or restricting comments posted on a blog.
Select the forum or blog name as appropriate.
• Add new users on signup: Check for direct user sign up—the user
login details are added to the user group. When unchecked, the user
