• If you've added layers or masks to your image, when you click a Save
option you'll be asked if you want to preserve the "project"
information.
• In the dialog, click Yes to save your project information (as an
SPP file).
OR
click No to save as a flattened image (i.e., without layers).
To revert an image file:
• Click Revert from the File menu. The last saved version of your
image is displayed.
