To apply a gradient mask:
1. Select
Develop at the top of your workspace.
2. Click the Adjustments tab at the right of your workspace.
3.
Select Gradient mask from the top of the tab. The
Gradient entry appears which can be opened by clicking
Expand.
4. Click and drag on your photo, from the point you want to start
your gradient (e.g., from a horizon line downwards). Release
the mouse button, where the gradient will finish. The gradient
occupies the region between the outer lines.

your photo then reposition it by dragging the mask marker.
5. Applied adjustments will be faded out in the direction in which
you drag. If you drag bottom to top, the adjustment will be
strongest at the bottom of the photo, and fade out further
towards the top.
6. (Optional) Drag the outer lines inwards or outwards (above) to
adjust the extent of the gradient.
