To crop and straighten your photo:
1. Select the
Crop & Straighten tool from the toolbar at the
top of the Adjustments tab.
A rule of thirds grid will appear on your photo.
2. Choose an Aspect Ratio from the drop-down list.
OR
Drag your photo beneath the grid for manually positioning.
Resize it with the resize handles if required.
For best results, position the subject of the photo at any of the four
intersection points of the grid.
o Toggle between landscape and portrait (may
initially display as
) to change the orientation of the
grid on your photo.
o Click this button to lock the aspect ratio of the
crop.
3. (Optional) To straighten your photo, select the
Straighten
tool on the Adjustments tab.
o Click and drag to set a new horizon for your photo.
o Alternatively, use the Angle slider to straighten using
photo rotation.
You may need to reposition the rule of thirds grid once you've
straightened the horizon of your photo.
4. When you're happy, click Apply on the Adjustments tab.
