Importing photos
Adding photos to PhotoStack simply means opening a "window" to your
operating system. The photos will be displayed in the Library but will
always remain in their original location while using PhotoStack.
PhotoStack lets you:
• Add and watch folders already present on your computer disk
(see p. 16).
• Import photos from a USB device (cameras, flash drives),
external hard drive, CD or DVD, copying the photos to your
computer (see p. 14).
• Include photos from a fixed hard drive, either:
o leaving photos in their original folder location (see
p. 15).
OR
o copying photos to a new folder.
Photos may be imported into PhotoStack from USB devices (cameras,
removable USB flash drives, card readers, external hard drives), from
DVDs/CDs, and from local hard drives at any time. The process
involves the transfer of photos from the device to a user–defined file
folder. The photos are then automatically added to the Library.
Similarly, the import process optionally lets you include photos from
another hard drive on your computer. By default, the photos remain in
their original locations but can be copied locally as well.
