5. From the Publish eBook dialog, navigate to a folder, choose a
filename, and change the Save as type drop-down list to
"Kindle files (*.mobi)".
6. Click Save.
If you checked Show document after publication, the ePub book will
launch in its associated reader.
If you've not already downloaded KindleGen, click Download
KindleGen from Amazon. This takes you directly to the Amazon
Kindle publishing website.
Previewing and validating Kindle books
Any kindle book (*.mobi) you create can be previewed on your
computer before transferring it to your Kindle device (or uploading to
Amazon).
There are a variety of devices which allow you to preview your kindle
book on your computer, however, if you install Kindle Previewer
software (available from Amazon Kindle publishing), you can also use
this as a way to validate the content formatting of your book to ensure it
will display correctly on the entire range of Kindle devices and
applications.
Displaying your eBook
Once you've published your eBook you'll want to make it available to a
physical device as soon as possible. Typical ways that your eBook can be
read, include:
• Via computer: Install Adobe Digital Editions software to view
your ePub document. Similarly, Kindle Previewer software is
the choice for Kindle files.
