STEP 2. Insert the Allen key into the holein the metal dust collar
and in the flange to secure the gearbox shaft from
rotation. While holding the Allen key, turn the Brushcutter
headcounterclockwiseuntilitstops(Fig. 5, page 35).
WARNING! Do not operate the Brushcutter without the
protectiveflange.Ifyoufailtoinstalltheprotectiveflange
beforeinstalling the trimmerspool, you will not be able
to remove the trimmer spool after you finish using the
Brushcutter.
Using circular cutter blade
STEP 1. Slidetheprotectiveflangeontothesplinedgearboxshaftso
that cutoffs in the gearbox body and in the flange match each
other(Fig. 6, page 36).
STEP 2.Placethecutterbladeontheprotectiveflange.Puthold-down
washerontopofthecutterblade,thentightenthenutuntilitstops.
Insert the Allen key into opening between the protective flange
andthegearbox.Tightenthenutwithawrench(Fig. 7, page 36).
TURNING THE ELECTRIC BRUSHCUTTER ON AND OFF
Turning on the Electric Brushcutter
STEP 1. Connect the tool
to the mains. Put on the shoulder strap,
placetheBrushcutterinworkingpositionandfirmlygripthehandles.
WhenturningontheElectricBrushcutter,keepyourhandsandfeet
atasafedistancefromthecuttingzone.
STEP 2. Toturnonthetool,pressOn/Offtriggerbuttonwhileholding
thelockbuttonpressed.
STEP 3. Cut at maximum rotation speed, firmly holding the
Brushcutterbygrippingergonomicallydesignedhandleswithboth
hands.
Turning off the Electric Brushcutter
STEP 1. ReleasetheOn/Offtriggerbutton.
STEP 2.BesuretodisconnecttheBrushcutterfromthemains.
