2.4.2. Step 2: Mounting the Smart-Reach
Mount the Smart-Reach in a dry location as described in “Step 4: Mounting the
Smart-Reach” on page 2–6.
2.4.3. Step 3: Connecting to the Smart-Reach Front Panel
1. Connect the Ethernet cable on the Smart-Reach to a computer using two
CAT5e cables and the supplied cross-over adapter.
The cross-over adapter uses normal CAT5 cable in the installation.
2. Connect the AC power adapter to the 12/24
VDC POWER IN connector.
3. Connect the AC power adapter to a 110 VAC source.
This configuration does not require a control cable.
