2.3.3. Step 3: Mounting the WLAN Mobile Antenna
To mount the WLAN mobile antenna:
1. Place the required gasket on the base of the antenna.
2. Align the antenna threads with the threads of the base and turn slowly.
3. Stop turning when the antenna feels snug on the base. Do not overtighten.
2.3.4. Step 4: Mounting the Smart-Reach
The typical mounting location for the Smart-Reach vehicle station will be inside a
vehicle’s electrical panel or header panel, within three feet of the antenna.
The Smart-Reach unit can be installed in any orientation as long as the front and
back panel connections are accessible. Four mounting points are located on the
flanges for securing the unit.

CAUTION: Equipment damage
Smart-Reach is rated for indoor use only and must be mounted in a dry location. Do not
expose the Smart-Reach to moisture.
