1.2. Smart-Reach Product Features
The Smart-Reach wireless network has been designed using extremely reliable
and easy-to-use technology, including:
• Wireless DVR access that provides a high-speed connection to Explorer
DVRs.
• Proven technology using the IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g wireless LAN
standard (2.4 GHz frequency).
• Remote DVR access of live and recorded video footage using DVR Remote
Viewer, a Web-based program using the Internet Explorer® Web browser.
• Two wireless operating modes as a vehicle station or base station.
• Compact enclosure allows the Smart-Reach to be installed close to the
antenna, improving signal quality and range.
• Different antennas are available to accommodate different vehicles.
• Robust design engineered for operating reliability in harsh environments:
• Operating temperature range of –40°F to 158°F (–40°C to 70°C).
• Power input range of 10 to 32 VDC.
• Field upgradeable software uses a standard USB memory device for Smart-
Reach.
