To order replacement keys and/or combinations, we must have the correct model and serial
number of your safe. Find your safe’s Serial Number on the small label located on the outside of
your safe and on the original owner’s manual. Once you locate this information, please visit
www.sentrysafe.com or call customer service at 1-800-828-1438.
How to obtain a replacement key
The Problem: Why It Is Happening: The Solution:
Light flashes red
three times
Incorrect user code
was entered
Re-enter correct user code
Orange light when
any key is pressed
Low battery indicator Replace with four AA
alkalkine batteries (do not
use rechargeable batteries
or any other type of
non-alkalkine battery)
Lid will not lock Override key is in the
unlocked position
Turn the override key
to the locked position
No button response
when pressing buttons
Incorrect user code has been
entered too many times
Re-enter correct user
code after 20 seconds
(if three consecutive errors)
or 5 minutes
(if six consecutive errors)
Unit will not unlock Incorrect user code entered.
If wrong code is entered
three consecutive times,
the lock will be locked
automatically for 20 seconds.
If the wrong code is entered
6 consecutive times, the
lock will remain locked for 5
minutes.
Re-enter code or use override
key to manually unlock, then
use knob to open lid.
Unit will not unlock/light
flashes orange
Batteries are low and not
strong enough to power
the lock.
Use override key to manually
unlock, then use knob to
open lid. Replace batteries.
WARNING
DO NOT FORCE THE KNOB
The knob will break if forced. When operated correctly, the knob will turn easily into the locked
and unlocked position.
