Descriptions
§ OC-3c/STM-1 The four-port OC-3c/STM-1 PIC provides an ideal
solution for building backbones using high-speed OC-3c/STM-1 access
circuits. This PIC delivers per-port 155-Gbps throughput at wire rate for
an aggregate PIC throughput of 622 Mbps. It operates in concatenated
mode.
§ OC-12c/STM-4 The one-port OC-12c/STM-4 PIC is ideal for migrating
backbones to higher speeds while preserving the option for redundant
circuits. The PIC delivers 622-Mbps clear channel throughput at wire
rate and also handles four 155-Mbps OC-3/STM-1 circuits over a single
optical interface. It operates in both concatenated and nonconcatenated
modes.
§ OC-48c/STM-16 The one-port OC-48c/STM-16 PIC is ideal for meeting
the bandwidth demands at the Internet core with its wire-speed
performance.
§ Juniper Networks® was the first to market with an OC-48c/STM-16
SONET/SDH PIC that delivers 2.5-Gbps throughput at wire rate. The
PIC also handles four 622-Mbps OC-12/STM-4 circuits over a single
optical interface. It operates in both concatenated and nonconcatenated
modes.
§ OC-192c/STM-64 OC-192c/STM-64 PIC is advantageous when offering
high bandwidth for inter- and intra-POP connections.
§ As with the OC-48c/STM-16, Juniper Networks was the first to market
with an OC-192c/STM-64 SONET/SDH PIC that delivers 10-Gbps
throughput at wire rate. The PIC also handles four 2.5-Gbps OC-
48/STM-16 circuits over a single optical interface. It operates in both
concatenated and nonconcatenated modes.
