4.1. Description of first aid measures
First-aid measures general
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice
(show the label where possible).
First-aid measures after inhalation
IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a
POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.
First-aid measures after skin contact
IF ON SKIN: Immediately rinse with plenty of soap and water (for at least 15 minutes). Remove
contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. If skin irritation occurs, get medical
advice/attention.
First-aid measures after eye contact
IF IN EYES: Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15
minutes minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so. Continue rinsing. If eye
irritation occurs, get medical advice/attention.
First-aid measures after ingestion
IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. Do NOT induce
vomiting. Obtain emergency medical attention.

Symptoms/injuries
May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
Symptoms/injuries after inhalation
Inhalation in high concentrations may cause irritation of the mucous membranes. Aspiration of
this material into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonia or death.
Symptoms/injuries after skin contact
Contact may cause irritation.
Symptoms/injuries after eye contact
Direct contact with the eyes is likely to be irritating. May cause burns and possible corneal
damage.
Symptoms/injuries after ingestion
May be irritating to the mucous membranes.
