3M Pressurized Closure System 2-Type is available in a wide variety of
closure lengths and diameters. Lengths range from 470mm (18-1/2")
to over 2096mm (82-1/2") and closure diameters range from 77mm
(3") to 305mm (12"). e 2-type kit comes complete with all the com-
ponents needed to install the cover and end plates. e only tool re-
quired for installation is a washer cutter tool.

ute telephone line by joining each sideline pair to its correspondence pair
of subscriber line drop wire.
- e EDP has built in lightning arrestor to protect the CPe and the user
from transient voltage induce on the telecommunication lines.
- eir EDP is suitable for mounting on either a circular concrete or steel
pole and provide a high level reliability in services.
Heat shrinkable end-cap coated with hot melt adhesive on the inner wall
has excellent insulated and sealed properties. It can be applied to seal the
power cable terminations, communication cable terminations and in-
dustrial pipelines, and also connect well to PE and lead protective layer.
e aerial closure is a single-piece aerial closure, easily installed in
construction or maintenance situations. e one piece construction
permits complete splice access aer placement without removal of the
closure or bonding from the cables. e closures are free breathing and
suitable for straight, butt and branch splices of non-pressurised commu-
nication cables.
Corning Cable Systems oers a full line of UCN copper splice closures
engineered to provide excellent environmental protection of twisted pair
splices. ese durable closures are suitable for either “butt” or “through”
cable entry congurations. UCN closures can be used in underground,
aerial, or directburied splice applications, and can accommodate up to
6000 pairs, depending on the product selected
