Scale Guideline for Brewing Into a Personal Cup/Travel Mug
Problem Possible cause What to do
The coffee maker beeps 3
short times and the coffee
maker doesn’t start to brew.
The the tray configuration is
incorrect
Example: If the tray is down
and the “my carafe” button
is pressed the machine will
beep 3 short times.
To brew a carafe of coffee,
replace the drip tray cover
inside the tray assembly,
close it to the vertical
position, fill in the water
and the coffee per brewing
coffee section, then press my
carafe.
To brew a cup of coffee,
press the button on the side
to release the tray, put the
mug on the drip tray cover,
fill in the water and the
coffee per brewing coffee
section, then press my cup.
To brew a tall mug of coffee,
press the button on the side
to release the tray, remove
the drip tray cover, replace
the tray back to the vertical
position, place the drip tray
cover on the heating plate,
then press my cup.
The coffee maker beeps 3
long times and the coffee
maker doesn’t start to brew.
The tray was accidentally
open during brewing my
carafe mode.
Replace the tray in the
vertical position, then replace
carafe under the check valve.
The coffee maker beeps 2
short times and the coffee
maker doesn’t start to brew.
The user is trying to use
the CLEAN cycle in my cup
mode.
Read the CLEAN section in
the Instruction Manual and
use the CLEAN mode by
pressing my carafe.

10 oz 2 scoops - 2 T 8 oz
14 oz 2 1/2 scoops - 2 1/2 T 12 oz
18 oz 3 scoops - 3 T 16 oz
