NUMERIC PAGER DIALOUT
When programming the 1800 to dial a Numeric pager there are two meth-
ods that can be used: mode and mode.
The only difference is that in Automatic mode the 1800 will automatically
try to sense when the call has been answered and then send the ID Number
and zone numbers. In some instances, the automatic answer detection
and timing from the 1800 is incompatible with the paging service, and the
Manual mode must be used.
If your phone system requires you to dial a ‘9’ followed by a pause to get
an outside line, you must use Manual mode and insert pauses at the end
of the number.
When the 1800 calls your Numeric Pager it will leave the programmed ID
Number along with the Zone number that is in alarm. If it’s reporting a
Power alarm, it will send the ID Number followed by the number “0”; if its
reporting a Sound alarm, the 1800 will send the ID Number followed by the
number “9”. To acknowledge the alarm you will have to call the unit back
and enter an acknowledgement code, otherwise the unit will continue dial-
ing the remaining numbers.
