Important safety information • • • • The VMX 100 has been manufactured according to the accepted rules of safety and current technology. However, there is still a danger of damage to equipment if the following general safety instructions are not complied with. Read these instructions. Follow these instructions. Keep these instructions in a location where they are accessible to all users at all times. Always include the operating instructions when you pass the VMX 100 on to third parties.
• Do not expose the VMX 100 to extreme temperatures. Normal operating temperatures are 10 °C (50 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F). • Store the headset in a clean, dust-free environment. During charging • Do not wear the headset when charging. • Sennheiser Communications is not liable for damages to USB devices that are not consistent with the USB specifications.

Setting up the VMX 100 Charging the battery in the headset If you charge the battery for the first time, allow charging for at least 4 hours without interruption. Later, 2.5 hours suffice to fully charge the battery. To charge the battery in the headset: f Take off the headset and close the microphone boom 쐃. The headset is switched off. f Connect the USB charging cable to the headset’s socket for power supply 쐂.
• The LED 쐄 flashes red. • Three beeps are heard in the headset every 30 seconds (3x). • Less than five minutes of talk time are left. Switching the headset on/off f Open the microphone boom 쐃. The headset is switched on. The 쐃 LED 쐄 indicates the current operating mode: • If the LED 쐄 flashes slowly in blue, the headset is already paired to a mobile phone. The headset is therefore ready to use. • If the LED 쐄 flashes alternatingly in red and blue, the headset is not yet paired to a mobile phone.
Pairing the headset to mobile phones or other Bluetooth devices Pairing to a mobile phone To be able to use the headset, you must first pair it to your mobile phone or a similar device with a Bluetooth hands-free or headset profile. Once you have paired the headset to a mobile phone, the headset is connected automatically each time this mobile phone and the headset detect each other. 쐏 f Make sure the headset is switched on and placed close to your mobile phone.
If pairing was successful, the LED 쐄 flashes slowly in blue. Once paired, your mobile phone will be able to transfer the call audio to the headset – either automatically or manually (please see your mobile phone’s manual whether the call audio is transferred automatically or manually). Most mobile phones show a headset symbol in their display, if successfully paired. Pairing to other Bluetooth devices If you wish to pair the headset to other Bluetooth devices, please see the Bluetooth device’s manual.
Operating the VMX 100 Telephoning with the VMX 100 Accepting an incoming call f Make sure the headset is paired to your mobile phone (see “Pairing the headset to mobile phones or other Bluetooth devices” on page 11). 쐏 When you receive a call, you hear a ring tone in the speaker 쐋 and the LED 쐄 flashes blue 쐄 quickly. To accept the call if the headset is already switched on: f Press the hook button 쐇 or the volume 쐇 쐋 button 쐏. A beep is heard in the headset. f Start to talk.
If your mobile phone automatically transfers the call audio to the headset, a beep is heard in the headset. If your mobile phone does not automatically transfer the call audio to the headset, you must press a button on your mobile phone to transfer the call audio to the headset manually. f Start to talk. Redialling f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 for 1.5 seconds. A beep is heard in the headset. The mobile phone redials the last dialled number automatically.
If you leave the transmitting range If the headset leaves the mobile phone’s transmitting range during a call: f The sound quality deteriorates before the connection finally breaks down. f Your mobile phone might display the loss of connection. f See the manual of your mobile phone whether or not your mobile phone ends the call automatically. Changing the speaker volume f Press the volume button 쐏 during a call. 쐏 The speaker volume is changed by one step.
Muting/un-muting the headset microphone 쐏 To mute the headset microphone: f Press and hold the hook button 쐇 during a conversation until a beep is heard in the headset. The microphone is muted. A beep is heard 쐇 every 1.5 seconds in the headset. To un-mute the headset microphone: f Press the hook button 쐇 or press the volume button 쐏. The beeping stops. The microphone works as usual.
Maintenance and care If you do not want to use the headset for a longer time: f Close the microphone boom 쐃. f Store the headset in a clean and dry environment. 쐃 To clean the headset: f Only clean with a dry cloth. Do not use any liquids, solvents or cleansing agents.

Das VMX 100 in Betrieb nehmen Den Akku im Headset laden Wenn Sie den Akku zum ersten Mal laden, laden Sie ihn für vier Stunden ohne Unterbrechung. Später genügen zweieinhalb Stunden, um den Akku voll aufzuladen. Um den Akku im Headset zu laden: f Nehmen Sie das Headset ab und schließen Sie den Mikrofonarm 쐃. Das Headset schaltet sich automatisch aus. f Schließen Sie das USB-Ladekabel an die Buchse für das Ladenetzteil 쐂 an.
Wenn der Akku fast leer ist: • blinkt die LED 쐄 rot, • ertönen alle 30 Sekunden drei Signaltöne im Headset (3x), • verbleiben weniger als fünf Minuten Sprechzeit. Das Headset mit Mobiltelefonen oder anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren Mit einem Mobiltelefon paaren Damit Sie das Headset benutzen können, müssen Sie es zunächst einmalig mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon oder einem ähnlichen Gerät paaren. Danach wird das Headset automatisch über Bluetooth mit dem Mobiltelefon verbunden, sobald sich Headset und Mobiltelefon gegenseitig erkennen. 쐏 f Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Headset eingeschaltet und nahe beim Mobiltelefon plat쐄 ziert ist.
f Sobald Ihr Mobiltelefon ein Passwort abfragt, geben Sie vier Nullen (0000) ein. Wenn das Paaren erfolgreich war, blinkt die LED 쐄 langsam blau. Ihr Mobiltelefon kann Anrufe nun auf das Headset weiterleiten – entweder automatisch oder manuell (siehe die Anleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons, ob die Anrufe automatisch oder manuell zum Headset weitergeleitet werden). Die meisten Mobiltelefone haben ein Headset-Symbol im Display, wenn das Paaren erfolgreich war.

Beenden eines Anrufs f Drücken Sie entweder die Sprech-/Rufannahmetaste 쐇 oder schließen Sie den Mikrofonarm 쐃 oder verwenden Sie die Tasten Ihres Mobiltelefons, um den Anruf zu beenden. Sie hören einen Signalton im Headset. Der Anruf wird beendet. Weiterleiten eines laufenden Gesprächs vom Mobiltelefon zum Headset f Drücken Sie während des Gesprächs die Sprech-/Rufannahmetaste 쐇. Sie hören einen Signalton im Headset. Das laufende Gespräch wird zum Headset weitergeleitet.
Die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke ändern 쐏 Sie die Wipptaste 쐏 während eines Telefonats. Die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke ändert sich um eine Stufe. Die Lautstärke kann in acht Stufen eingestellt werden. Die Werksein- 쐋 stellung ist Stufe vier. Wenn die minimale oder maximale Lautstärke erreicht ist, hören Sie einen Signalton im Lautsprecher 쐋. Außerdem „lernt“ die Adaptive Intelligence Ihre bevorzugten Einstellungen und passt die Lautstärke automatisch an.
Um die Stummschaltung aufzuheben: f Drücken Sie die Sprech-/Rufannahmetaste 쐇 oder die Wipptaste 쐏. Die Signaltöne hören auf. Das Mikrofon arbeitet wieder. Wiederherstellen der Werkseinstellungen (Reset) Sie können die Werkseinstellungen für die Lautsprecher-Lautstärke und die Paarungseinstellungen wie folgt wiederherstellen: f Starten Sie den Paarungsmodus wie unter „Das Headset mit Mobiltelefonen oder anderen Bluetooth-Geräten paaren“ auf Seite 11 beschrieben.

Mise en service du VMX 100 Charger la batterie intégrée de l’oreillette Si vous chargez la batterie pour la première fois, ne pas interrompre le processus de charge avant un minimum de quatre heures. Par la suite, il faut 2,5 heures pour charger complètement la batterie. Pour charger la batterie de l’oreillette : f Enlever l’oreillette et fermer le bras de micro 쐃. L’oreillette est éteinte. f Raccorder le câble de recharge USB à la prise d’alimentation 쐂 de l’oreillette.

Appairer l’oreillette avec téléphones mobiles ou d’autres appareils Bluetooth Appairage avec un téléphone mobile Pour pouvoir utiliser l’oreillette, vous devez d’abord l’appairer avec votre téléphone mobile ou un autre appareil possédant le profil Bluetooth “mains libres” ou “oreillette”. Une fois que vous avez appairé l’oreillette avec un téléphone mobile, l’oreillette se connecte automatiquement à chaque fois que ce téléphone mobile et l’oreillette se reconnaissent entre eux.
f Si votre téléphone mobile vous demande un mot de passe, entrer quatre zéros (0000). Si l‘appairage est effectué avec succès, la LED 쐄 clignote lentement en bleu. L’écouteur 쐋 fonctionne dans deux directions, c’est-à-dire vous pouvez porter l’oreillette sur l’oreille gauche ou droite sans avoir à procéder à des changements. Toutefois, l’écouteur est conçu de telle façon que le voisinage ne puisse pas entendre ce qu’il diffuse, et ne soit pas dérangé par la voix de votre correspondant téléphonique.
Rejeter un appel f Pendant que le téléphone mobile sonne, appuyer sur la touché “Décrocher/Raccrocher” 쐇 et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que un bip soit audible dans l’écouteur. La sonnerie s’arrête. Selon le réglage du téléphone mobile, l’appel est soit rejeté, soit transféré sur une boîte vocale. Passer un appel f Composer le numéro sur votre téléphone mobile. Si votre téléphone mobile transfère automatiquement l’appel sur l’oreillette, vous entendez un bip dans l’oreillette.

Configurazione di VMX 100 Caricamento della batteria nella cuffia Se si effettua il caricamento per la prima volta, lasciare la batteria sotto carica per almeno 4 ore senza interruzioni. Indien u de hoofdset aan een mobiele heeft gekoppeld (pairing), wordt de hoofdset iedere keer de mobiele telefoon of headset elkaar herkennen automatisch met de mobiele 쐏 telefoon verbonden.
