Surround Sound for Headphones
With TheaterPhone, monitoring a surround sound mix doesn’t have to
be restricted to studios with a 5.1 speaker setup.When access to loud-
speakers is limited, you can still monitor in the “sweet spot” of a full
multi-dimensional surround mix with sounds in front of and behind your head.
The experience is as if speakers were mounted up on the walls and around you. In fact, you’ll take
offthe headphones the first time you hear it, just to convince yourself it’s not coming from the room.
TheaterPhone HSM6240 features three types of virtual listening spaces
approved by Dolby Laboratories: DH1 (reference control room), DH2
(livelier dubbing size room), and DH3 (larger theater-size room). Each
room was meticulously modeled with impulse response measurements
of real acoustic environments and combined with Lake Technology’s
extensive experience with Binaural HRTF Virtual Reality research.The
result is an innovative technology call Dolby Headphones.Using Dolby
Headphone processing, the TheaterPhone HSM6240 delivers a true
6-channel spatial surround sound experience over stereo headphones.
TheaterPhone HSM6240 can be inserted into any 5.1 mix bus or stem
using the six discrete balanced TRS jacks and six pass through
connections provided. Post-processed stereo line outputs are also
provided for additional headphone distribution amplifiers. Tri-color
channel active LEDs provide a tactile look at each signal input level.
When monitoring a 5.1 mix with speakers is inconvenient, inefficient,
or impossible, use the TheaterPhone HSM6240 for a headphone
experience that is truly three-dimensional.

DT-100 / DT-102
The DT-100 headphone is
widely used in audio
recording and monitoring
applications in studios
worldwide. It offers a high
degree of comfort and can
be worn for hours
without listener fatigue.
The soft ear cushions
effectively seal out
ambient noise yet apply
minimal pressure against
the ear. The DT-102 is the
identical headphone with
the exception that it is a
single-ear headphone. The DT-102 is used in broadcast work,recording,
TV studio and theater applications where the monitoring of outside
ambient information is necessary.

Designed for use in ENG/EFP
applications, the DT-48 E,
with single-sided cable is espe-
