Messaging
2. When the contact goes online or offline, the
status is shown in your Chat Contacts list.

To send a private message in a group chat
1. During a group chat, press Options g and
select Send private msg.
2. Scroll to the member you want to send a private
message to, and press Select . This message
will only be visible to that member of the group.
z Note: Once you send a private message, the
next message will be visible to all members of
the group (unless you select Send private msg
again).
Instant Messaging Settings
Press Options g from any of the Instant
Messaging views, and select Settings. The options
are listed below.

name
Display your nick name by default (Ye s). You
will be prompted to enter a name.
Chat presence Select if you want your status (online/offline)
visible to all (Active for all) or you want to keep
your status invisible (Not active).
Message speed Select the speed of Instant Messaging updates.
Reload user
status
Select if you want your chat contacts updated
Automatically or Manually.
Block
invitations
Block all invitations sent to you (Yes).
Login type Select if you want Automatic or Manual log in.

Chat servers Display a list of existing Instant Messaging
servers. Press Options g and select:
Edit - Edit an existing Instant Messaging server.
See the Server configuration options below.
Create new server - Create a new Instant
Messaging server. See the Server configuration
options below.
Delete - Delete an existing Instant Messaging
server.
Server in use Display a list of existing Instant Messaging
servers. Scroll to the server you want to use and
press Select .

Server name Enter a name for the server.

Select the access point to use for this server.
URL address Enter the URL (web address) of the server.
User ID Enter your User ID.
Password Enter your password.
