Messaging
Viewing messages on a SIM
You can view messages stored in a SIM card by
copying them to your Inbox.

To import messages from a SIM card
1. From the main Messaging screen, press
Options g and select SIM messages.
2. Select the message you want to copy using the
joypad.
z Tip: To import multiple messages, select Mark
from the Options g menu.
3. Press Options g and select Copy.
4. A list of folders is displayed. Select which folder
you want to copy the message(s) to, and press
OK g.
The messages are imported – the next time you
check your Inbox, all the messages you have copied
from your SIM card are displayed.
z Note: You cannot export anything from your
phone’s Inbox to a SIM card.
Messaging Settings
The Messaging feature has a range of different
settings, relating to the different message types. To
access these settings, press Options g from the
main Messaging view, and select Settings, followed
by the settings type, e.g. Text messag e .
Settings for SMS messages
SMS (short) messages are delivered to your phone
through a message service centre, the number for
which is obtained from your service provider. You
can define more than one message centre and select
which one to use.

To add a new text message centre
1. From the Text m e s s a ge settings list, select
Message centres.
2. Press Options g and select New msg.centre.
3. Enter a name for the service centre and press
OK g.
4. Press the down joypad key ; then Select
and enter the message service centre number.
5. Press OK g.
6. To use the new message centre, press Back d
twice to go back to the Text message settings
view, select Msg. centre in use, and select the
new message centre from the list.
