Contacts
!
To delete a contact
1. From the Contacts directory, highlight the
contact you want to delete, using the joypad, or
open the contact card.
2. Press Options g, and select Delete. You will
be asked whether you are sure you want to
permanently delete this contact - press Yes g.
z Tip: To delete numerous contact cards at once,
you can mark all the items you want to delete,
before selecting Delete. See Common actions on
Page 19.

To call a contact
From within a contact card, scroll to the phone
number to call, and press Call c, or press
Options g, and select Call.
From the directory, scroll to the contact and press
Call c. If the selected contact has more than
one phone number stored, e.g. work, home,
mobile, scroll to the number you want in the list
displayed, and press Select to call the number.

To send an SMS or MMS message from a contact
card
1. Select the phone number to use, and press
Select .
2. Select Create message, then choose either Tex t
message or Multimedia message.
3. Enter your message in the body text field.
4. Press Options g and select Send.

To send an Email from a contact card
1. Select the Email address to use, and press
Select .
2. Enter your message in the body text field.
3. Press Options g and select Send.
Further options
When viewing a contact card, the Options menu
provides the following:
Select this To
Call Call a phone number stored on the contact
card.
Edit Edit the contact card.
Delete Remove the whole contact card from the
Contacts directory.
Create
message
Send a text message, multimedia message or
Email to the contact.
Defaults Make the selected phone number or Email
address the default for the contact.
Assign/
remove speed
dial
Create a shortcut to a phone number, Email
address, or Web URL by assigning a keypad
number as a speed dial. For more information
about creating speed dials, see Speed dial on
Page 53.
Ring tone Set a ring tone for the contact.
Copy to SIM Copy the contact details to your SIM card. See
Copying between Contacts and SIM on
Page 60.
Send business
card
Send the contact card information via text
message, Email, or via an infrared or Bluetooth
connection. See Connectivity on Page 142 for
more information.
