z Note: You can also access these time and date
settings from the phone’s Settings features. See
Date and time settings on Page 46.
Using alarms
You can use your phone as an alarm clock.
!
To set an alarm
1. Press Options g and select Set alarm.
2. Enter the alarm time using the numeric keypad,
then press OK g.
The alarm is now set, and the alarm indicator will be
displayed in the Now! and Menu screens.
• If you want to cancel the alarm, select Remove
alarm from the Options g menu.
• If you want to change the time of an alarm, select
Reset alarm from the Options g menu.
z Note: An alarm will go off at the set time, even
if your phone is switched off (see below).

To switch an alarm off
• Press Stop g to switch the alarm off.
or
• Press any numeric key, or press Snooze d to
switch the alarm off for five minutes, after which it
will go off again. You can press snooze up to five
times, after which the alarm will stop completely.
Please observe the following notes:
Recorder
The Recorder allows you to record and play back
audio clips, which can be stored in your phone, or
on a memory card if you have one.
You can use the Recorder to create voice memos, to
record telephone conversations, or you could even
sing your own ring tones!
z Note: In some jurisdictions it may be unlawful to
record a phone conversation without the
consent of all participants. Obey all local laws
governing the recording of sound.
Time format Decide how the time should be formatted, e.g.
24-hour or 12-hour clock.

should be separated, e.g., by a colon (:) or a
line (|).
Clock type Select Analogue or Digital.

Switch the setting On to have the date, time,
and time zone updated automatically, if you
subscribe to this network service.

When activated, the alarm will sound for approximately 1
minute before snoozing (if you do not press g, Stop or
d, Snooze).
If the alarm activates during a call, the phone will beep and
the display will flash to indicate that the alarm is active. As
described above, press g, Stop or d, Snooze.
If the volume is set to silent mode, the alarm will still activate
with sound.
If the set alarm time occurs when your phone is switched off,
the phone will switch itself on (if battery power is available) in
order to sound the alarm. Once you have stopped the alarm,
you will be prompted whether you want to activate the phone.
Press Ye s g to activate the phone, or No d to switch the
phone off again.
