MP3 Player
Chapter 12 MP3 Player
This chapter explains how to use the phone’s MP3
Player
to play MP3 audio files.
Using the MP3 Player
With the MP3 Player you can play MP3 audio files
stored in your phone’s memory, or on a memory
card, if one is available. These files are organised as
follows:
• Playlist - A playlist is used to group individual
tracks together, like a music album.
•Track - A track is an individual MP3 audio file.
The MP3 Player has two main modes:
•Player - From here you can play individual tracks
and move between tracks in a playlist.
• Playlist - From here you can load, create, change
and delete playlists as needed.

To open the MP3 Player
1. From the Menu screen, use the joypad to scroll
to the MP3 Player icon and press Select .
z Note: The MP3 Player will open automatically
when you choose to play an MP3 file from any
other application, for example, an MP3 file
from your Favourites pane.
2. The MP3 Player will open in Player mode. If no
playlist or MP3 file is available, a message will
be displayed.

To exit the MP3 Player
1. Press Options g and select Exit.

To chang e m o d e s
• From Player mode press Playlist d to change
to Playlist mode.
• From Playlist mode press Player d to change
to Player mode.
Using playlists
When you open the MP3 Player, the current or last
used playlist is displayed. If there are no playlists, a
message is displayed.

To create a new playlist
1. From Player mode press Playlist d.
2. Use the left [ and right ] joypad keys to scroll
to the NEW icon (new playlist) and press
Select (or press Options g and select
Playlist then New).
3. Enter the name for your playlist and press
Confirm g. The playlist is saved
automatically.

To open a playlist
1. In Playlist mode, use the left [ and right ]
joypad keys to scroll to the OPEN icon (open
playlist) and press Select (or press
Options g and select Playlist then Open).
2. The browser window will now be displayed. The
c: drive is the phone memory and the z: drive is
the memory card (if you have one).
3. Scroll to the c: drive and press the right ]
joypad key to display the folders.
