Extras
Chess
Go to the Extras
menu and select
Games followed
by Chess.
To enter the game
options menu
press g New. It's
possible to play the game against
somebody on the same handset or remotely
via SMS. Use the :; keys to make your
selection and g Select to start the game.
When playing via SMS you will be prompted
for the mobile telephone number of the other
player before the game starts.
When moves are received from another
player the Messages option will be
displayed in the game menu. Select this
option using the :; keys and press g
Select twice. Press g Select again to
accept the move or select one of the
alternative options shown.
The conventional rules of chess apply. To
move a piece, first move the flashing cursor
to the piece you wish to move. To move the
cursor up press the 2 key, to move it
down press the 8 key, to move it left press
the 4 key and to move it right press the
6 key. Once the cursor is positioned
press the 5 key to select. A selected
square is shown with a solid outline. Move
the cursor to where you wish to move to
using the same method.
The colour of pieces in play is shown in the
top right of the display; a diagonal line is
shown when the king is in check and an 'X'
upon check mate. Castling is achieved by
selecting the king and then the rook.
Draughts
Go to the Extras
menu and select
Games followed
by Draughts.
To enter the game
options menu
press g New. It's
possible to play the game against
