4.13 Relay and DPI Trigger – Option 8714
General Information
Install Location: Any slot except 1-1 and 2-1.
I/O: Relay Contacts
Description: This module should be considered a global
unit option. In other words, the relays of a single installed module can be accessed by
functions associated with general system alarms, or RDS specific features in any unit
configuration.
DPI Trigger Event Configuration
The DPI Trigger event must be configured and
then mapped to a relay contact in order to utilize
the new DPI Trigger output feature. Use the
following steps to configure the DPI Trigger
Event, and map the DPI Trigger Event to a relay
contact output.
1. Press the button.
2. Use the and buttons to select
“Splice Requests” and press the
button. Choose (Splice Rec 1, Splice
Req 2, etc…), and then press the
button.
3. Use the and , and the and
buttons to set the “AS Index” to the desired
amount, and then press the button.
Note: Refer to step 3 to adjust the “DPI PID
Index:, Event Source:, Program ID:,
Preroll:, Break Duration:, Avail Num:,
and Avail Expect:”.
4. For the “Splice Type:” choose (OON,
OON Imm, RTN, RTN Imm, or Cancel)
using the and buttons, and then
press the button.
Note: The user should take care to ensure the
correct DPI PID and Video PID and PCR
values (as indicated by the PMT) are
configured on the MRD so that the splice
points and decoded video are properly
associated.
