4.24 Password
Description: The MRD 3187B has the option to lock out the front panel with a user defined
password. Follow the steps below to set the password in the MRD 3187B.
Configuration
1. Press the button.
2. Use the and buttons to move the cursor
to, “Password,” then press the button.
Set Password
To set a password, use the following steps:
1. Press the key, when the cursor is on “Set
Password”.
2. Use the and buttons to change the
character and then the and buttons to
move to the next character.
3. Press the button when finished, to save the
password.
Enter Password
To enter the password, after it has been set, follow the
steps below.
1. Move the cursor to “Enter Password,” then
press the button.
2. Use the and buttons to change the
character and then the and buttons to
move to the next character.
3. Press the button when finished, to save the
password.
Lock Front Panel
To lock the front panel, after a password has been
set, follow the steps below.
1. Press the button, when the cursor is on
“Lock Front Panel.”
2. Press the button again to confirm, or press
the button to cancel.
