4.6 SYNCHRONIZATION
Synchronization input channel is used as a frequency measurement reference. Depending on the wiring
configuration, it can be either U1 or U12.
This parameter can also be modified in the MEASUREMENT SETUP screen.
4.7 FREQUENCY
Depending on the grid frequency, it is possible to select 50Hz or 60Hz as the frequency for measurements.
Different reporting speed will also depend on this setting.

Modifying the Frequency parameter (nominal grid frequency) requires a full reformat of the internal flash
memory, which deletes all previous locally stored measurements. This process takes around 4 minutes to
complete.
Note that, although formatting the flash memory does not impact the remote database, after the
reinitialization of the PMUs memory, server will be unable to fetch old frames in order to populate data
previously collected at lower reporting speed.
